| Citroen's C2 is excellent value for money especially with the smaller engines, which have more than enough power for this competent little runaround. Practical, comfortable and fun to drive. |

| C2 is very cheap, once you take into account Citroen's endless round of cashbacks, special editions, cheap finance offers and incentives such as a year's free insurance. There's no need to spend out on the larger engines, either the 1.1 has all the power you'd need. The three-door C2 is a compact supermini, with limited luggage space and child-size rear bench seats. However, it's surprisingly comfortable, with a smooth ride and body roll much better contained than in the larger C3. It's also good fun to drive, though the jerky Sensodrive semi-auto gearbox is best avoided. C2 might not have the best quality cabin in its class, but space up front is excellent, and fit and finish are much better than in equally cheap Far Eastern rivals. VTR and GT models are sporting, if not all-out hot hatches, but all C2s have a youthful image and will be economical to run. |
